This is an original work of devised theatre constructed upon the concept of utilising classical music structures as dramaturgy during our discovery and creation. The subject that we are presenting within this musical framework is an adolescent memory, to which a pop song has a sentimental attachment. The work-in-progress performance demonstrates the basic musical structure of Bach’s Fugue No.2 in C minor in which no music will be played; instead, the musicality is applied on the piece structurally. This is an experiment of applying music principles into a devising process, and the performance is still in development.
the work was presented for Goldsmiths Graduate Festival 2015. |
